Q: How long have you been an artist? and when do you feel like you started taking your craft seriously?
A: I been doing music for over a decade now. I’ve always taken my craft seriously because it is my passion, it’s not just something I say I’m doing.
Q: Who are some of the other artists or people that inspire you? Whether they are your peers or otherwise?
A: My biggest inspiration in music is of course Ms. Remy Ma. My style, my voice and my aggressive bars always gets compared to her and we both from the BX.
Q: What are your goals as an artist? How far do you want to take your craft?
A: Basically in a nutshell, I just want to continue to make good music for the culture and for myself. I want to take my music wherever It can take me. Only the higher power knows where it can go so I’ll leave it in his hands.
Q: How often do you record? or create? Do you rap or create daily?
A: I create daily whether it’s just hooks, verses or even 1 bar. In my mind the wheels are always turning. The creating never stops in my head.
Q: What are some obstacles that you have faced on your musical journey? And do you ever feel like giving up?
A: Ohhhhh man! As a woman in Hip Hop, I promise we are always faced with an obstacle. My biggest one, is the “Culture Vulture”. It’s a lot of folks out here, that do not care about the talent, it’s all about how they can benefit from you and get your money. But they don’t show any results, or interest in your craft. I have experienced this on so many occasions. I have had times where I’m like, “nah I’m not doing this music thing anymore”, because the disappointment is such an deterrent, but I snap back and know that, that’s what them ppl want! They want me to give up! But nope! I’ll put my big girl panties on and go harder!
Q: Who are some of your dream collabs?
A: Dream collaborations: REMY MA, EVE, TREY SONGZ, JADA, LATTO… the list can go on .
Q: What message are you trying to send to the world through your music?
A: What I’m trying to project to the world, especially to woman is to work hard! I promise it never goes unnoticed. People are always watching, whether they like it or hate it. Be yourself. And as a woman, carry yourself as such.
If you got the talent, use it. Don’t use your body because they never gonna respect you. Be the light and work for it.
Q: Do you have a project that you are working on?
A: I have a single dropping soon, called “On My Body”, which will be on all streaming platforms. Y’all know how I do! I drop consistent barz! So be on the lookout!
