Hailing from Marion, North Carolina Duke Dukesta” Hill has been laying down the ground work for his career. Rapping since he was 8 years old he list artist like Lil Wayne, Eminem, Young Jeezy, and Cassidy as some influences. It all started with him doing freestyles on his voice mail machine.
At the same age Dukesta would enter his first talent show at his Elementary School and came in 2nd place. This would serve as the Engine to his journey, and start of his musical pursuit. Growing up off 90s Hip Hop he cites the content and instrumentals which would lead to aspirations of having an impact of a LL Cool J or Lil Wayne. Fast forward he would go on to become a Father which encouraged him to make music without any vulgar profanity. He also views music as a universal language so pushing a positive message is something he feels he was sent to do.
Dukesta does a great job of bringing balance in his music, showing range from fun music to issues life can bring. He does this effortlessly without watering down his lyrics entirely. He also has a good Ear for production as he meshes the right Beats with concepts.
He has released 4 studio projects, “Anthony Grae” “The Dark 2” “McDowell” and “Who Nu (The Rude Edition)”. Throughout the years he has beem consistently releasing music, videos, and also putting in Leg work traveling to perform. This has lead to opportunities to do shows at festivals, open for Pastor Troy, and get a feature from Kidd Kidd.
Dukesta has his plans in order and at the moment is focusing on learning more of the business aspects and creating revenue to up the promotion for his brand.
