From NO to NY
New Orleans has produced some talented artist in the rap game and Ckooliente is on a journey to add his name to the list. Rhyming as early on as age 5, but it would be at 15 years old when he really honed in on his craft. He showed his dedication when he moved to NYC in 2019 to pursue his career.
He list influences such as Nas, Wayne, Soulja Slim, and D Block. While there’s been representation from his hometown Ckooliente feels it’s time for some fresh blood. The goal is to be nationwide but he definitely wants to build his home base and make it known he reps Nola.
His first official release was “Project Mayhem Vol.1” in 2010 and he hasn’t looked back since. He would go on to release several projects showcasing his lyrcism, song writing, and versatility in his sound. When asked what’s the most important part of his artistry he states “To me it’s the Projects, the process of making the music is important in my artistry because of the effort and creativity I put into it”.
His latest album is out now “Charlie Vincent Van Gogh” produced by Jack The Rip. Ckooliente displays diversity in his flows and topics, as well as some really good hooks. The synergy is perfect between the Mc & producer, great combination of introspective confident rhymes. The tile track is well chosen, “GoodFella Ray Liota”, “Self Portrait” and “The Night Cafe” are personal favorites.
Showing growth in his music & direction in his grind he continues to establish himself as a future player in the game.
